jesus, that’s compelling. i knew about ray and ford, of course, but was completely clueless about toth and walsh. do you think there’s an argument to be made that their lack of true depth perception helped them to compose in what is essentially a 2 dimensional medium (pace toland and his deep focus)? i’m going to go watch crime wave and think about that.
